Favorite Theatre Company and Favorite Venue for Local Theatre
Santa Cruz Shakespeare (SCS) is proud to announce that it has been recognized by the Santa Cruz community with two top honors in Lookout Santa Cruz’s inaugural 2025 Lookout List: Favorite Theatre Company and Favorite Venue for Local Theatre for its outdoor home, The Audrey Stanley Grove at DeLaveaga Park.
The Lookout List celebrates local excellence across arts, culture, food, and community organizations, with winners chosen by readers and Santa Cruz County residents. The 2025 awards mark the first year of this new recognition program by Lookout Santa Cruz.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition from our community,” said Charles Pasternak, Artistic Director of Santa Cruz Shakespeare. “The Audrey Stanley Grove has always been a place where art, nature, and community come together. These awards are a testament to the audiences, artists, and supporters who make Santa Cruz Shakespeare thrive.”
Santa Cruz Shakespeare has long been a beloved part of the local arts landscape, presenting fresh, contemporary productions of classic works each summer under the redwoods at The Grove. The company’s commitment to artistic excellence, education, and community engagement continues to make it a cultural cornerstone in Santa Cruz County.
