Take Center Stage in the 2024 SCS High School Shakespeare Intensive!

 

Join Santa Cruz Shakespeare as we launch our High School Shakespeare Intensive, created by Education Programs Manager Rebecca Haley Clark.  Students will participate in workshops on movement, text, and voice, as well as plenty of rehearsal time with our team of Shakespeare experts. Only 16 spots exist, so sign up today!

Over the course of this unique, week-long program, students will:
- Become more comfortable speaking in public;
- Train in the close reading of text and learn to translate it into performance;
- Build confidence in their abilty to express themselves creatively;
- Make memories that will last a lifetime!

When & Where: Mon., July 8 - Fri., July 12, 9am - 3pm, at Veterans Memorial Building (846 Front Street, Santa Cruz, CA)
Final performance Sat., July 13, 10am, on the Grove mainstage (501 Upper Park Rd., Santa Cruz, CA)

Virtual casting will take place during May.

Ages: 14 - 18

Price: $1,000 -- includes all required materials, plus free admission to our professional performance of As You Like It on Saturday July 13 (right after the student performance), as well as a souvenir sweatshirt. Scholarships are available!
